Default Blagdon yesterday

Had a superb day at Blagdon, with my boat-partner and I bringing 27 [21 to me, sorry Joe ] fish to the net, almost all in the 2-3lb range, and all to my buzzer patterns [red with natural quills and green holo cheeks doing the most damage].

Anyone considering a visit should get themselves down there. Only four boats were out yesterday, and just two on Sunday when I made a recce.

This might be a silly question but how did you land 27 fish? I thought the limit was 8 and they don't do c+r do they?

Bristol Water rules are that fish can be returned alive on the way to an 8 fish limit provided debarbed or barbless hooks are used.
The fishing down here at Blagdon and Chew has been magnificent and, although Chew has slowed a little, there's plenty more to be had.

As above, I went barbless after 7 and released from the net.

John, we are overdue a fishing trip, let me know when when you're feeling fit enough.
