Default what line

i have a floating line but need another for my spare spool.
the line is for res and small stillwater.
would it be best to buy an intermediate or sinking.

In General an inter will be the 2nd line of choice,but if you were going to fish deep regularly,then a DI3 or 5 might be a better choice.
You do not say if your are boat or bank fishing.

an inter will cover more bases especially from the bank-will take a small booby down,just have to wait a bit longer.Boats ,especially drifting is another ballgame

Sorted then.Intermidiate. and I would buy a 5' trout fast sink polyleader for the odd time you needed a bit deeper presentation.
