Default Breakfast at Rutland

Currently, there are no catering facilities at Rutland Water fishing lodge However, just up in the top car park by the cyclist shop there is a great little snack bar that does just the best bacon and egg bap, freshly cooked It recommend a visit next time your down and I think that you'll end up going back. Went there last Friday and was well impressed.

I suppose it would be better than the roadkill breakfast at the lodge Hope the new Cafe at the lodge is much improved, cooking wise. Pity they couldnt take a leaf out of Grafham Lodge,s breakfast as its miles better than Rutland.

Not been there yet, but the cafe/restaurant at Whitwell has also been refurbished and is now open.

The cafe at Rutland is no more, it's going to be an Italian Restaurant.

Bacon Butty before fishing or Garlic Bread and Pasta?

You have got to be kidding me?????

If someone got that place right it would make a killing. It's always been over priced cheap cr@p. I also think that Grafham isn't much better. I reckon that their pork sausages would struggle to make a claim of being 1% pork.

Another strong endorsement for the little cafe by the bike shop - exactly what you want in a hurry, and, if for some reason you happen not to have the money you thought you did, quite happy to say 'well, if you've got a season ticket, you'll be back, so pay me next time'... !!!

Just what I was thinking today Phil, get some decent sausage and a nice pack of rindless back and bobs your uncle. Al Owen gave me the Italian info.

Hey I'm laughing here , I have had breakfast in Grafham a few times and thought to myself, man I thought the English could make a good sausage but god these are just pure cack, so I'm glad to hear its just that place that has the **** sausages and not all English sausages taste like Grafham ones. I reckon the dog would turn his nose up at those things...
