Default Places to Fly fish near Padstow?

We're off to Padstow over the Easter break and I'm hoping I may be able to slope off for a day's fishing at some point. I had found a whole list of potential places to try out but can't remember where I carefully filed away the info! Can any of you help out with some recommendations - possibly somewhere where I'd be able to go with the children & hire some tackle for them?

Cheers

Temple and Innis are your closest small waters, and temple has an all method lake so might suit your needs.
If you do choose Temple you may want to look in Trago mills as you could well pick up rod, tackle etc as cheap as hiring., If not I think Julian at Temple will sort you out.
If you want to ring Temple and ask the number is 01208821730

This fishery is fairly nearby:-
West Country Trout - Fishing lake

Nice quiet and intimate spot, very good fish and nice people.

Thanks for the replies. I think I know the hill where the bench is so I'lll look out for it. Also thanks for the info on the fisheries - I'd heard of Temple but the review I'd seen was a bit off putting - may give it a second look. West Country Looks interesting - just need to persuade my wife to let me escape now!

Anyone fished Colliford?

Looks no more than a duck pond and £20 for two fish is a bit much dont you think, Cant see any catch and release so 2 casts and it could be all over.

Tree Meadow fishery in Hayle is well worth a look. ignore the 'specimen' pool and have fun on the much bigger normal lake, they stock rainbow, brown, blue, tiger, and brook trout. it's a lovely setting with good fish.

Last time I was there (about a year ago or so), it was something like £20 for 2 fish, and then unlimited catch and release thereafter. I am however not aware if that price or offer is still current.

A small venue - yes, but I had the place to myself for the day, and very enjoyable it was too.

Twenty quid a bit much???? - I live in the deep south, (Hampshire) and that is considerably cheaper than anything hereabouts, and was very good value IMHO, as I took home just short of 12Lbs of fish, and landed/returned a further 21Lbs, with the average being in the 5Lb to 6Lb region.

To each his own I guess, but I for one would certainly make a return visit if I were in the area
