Hi all,

I am off to Powys, llangadfan to be precise, for a weeks hols with the missus. We are staying near the Banwy. Is it any good for trout or Grayling?

I would appreciate any info for decent rivers in the area, even just contacts. I

Any info would be both appreciated and useful.

Hi Haggisboy
the Banwy dose indeed hold trout (big ones) and grayling as i found out earlier in the year with a near 2lber. however I'm not sure of the day ticket availability as i was fishing Prince Albert water.
you would not be a million miles away from the upper seven area and you could do a lot worse than to pm Andrew Cartwright (Sage) on this forum
hope this helps

Cheers SB,

I am lucky enough to be staying at a cottage with fishing rights on the Banwy, not sure if I get to fish or if I need to pay. I guess I need to get an EA Rod licence to, how uncivilised

I have traded PM's with Sage already, but thanks for the pointer. I guess I need to find out where i can get a day ticket or two.
