Default Could these work in a fishing context?

Cleated rubber soles are the cheapest option when it comes to wellingtons and waders, right? But, in my experience nothing is quite as good for grip on stones, boulders etc as tiny metal studs, which can be a considerably more expensive option when buying a boot.

Over the last couple of winters, I’ve been aware that there are things called variously as ‘ice cleats’, or ‘ice grips’ that you pull over your footwear, the better not to slip on compacted snow and ice. The studded versions got me wondering whether they’d work over non-studded wellies and waders. Here are some of the choices available. Anyone tried them?

Anything that keeps the feet dry whilst keeping you upright is good for me.....I've experimented with all sorts for wading on mainly granite bottomed salmon rivers where the stones are all ice- and water-rounded, and not brilliant with cleated rubber. Best solution I've found is bits of metal potscrubber glued between the cleats with aquasure - lasts at least a season and gives exceptionally good grip! I would imagine that the ice grippers would be OK if a bit clumsy perhaps?
