a bung is a float basically , this can be a large bushy dry fly pattern, or a foam pattern fly. or you can buy items called fish pimps which are a plastic that you put your leader through a slit / tube and then twist and it locks the leader in.
you cast out and leave to dead drift on the current , drift in the wind moving the water.
and it can be any depth until you find where the fish are feeding.

a bung is something that suspends the buzzers, apps or whatever you choose to fish
for instance if you tied a booby or an indicator on your line with maybe 4ft of tippet spare then the buzzer would sink no further than 4ft, its just a way of fishing at a fixed depth, think of it like a float in float fishing.

Hi,

I very rarely fish this method but have tried a few types of indicators and found these indicators to be my favourite.

Snowbee Turn-On Strike Indicators

I find them easy to attach and remove without having to remove flies from the leader before use. Floats well and supports a number of flies easily. Shop around for them to find them cheaper. Hope this helps.

Nick.

Contact Sunkistbob on here, he's got similar indicators that do the business.
