Default Link advice

Hi
Ive seen these on ebay and just wondered what the general opinion is ?

30 x SNAP HOOK / FLY HOOKS SMALL Sz3 Easy Fly Changers on eBay (end time 04-Apr-11 09:32:17 BST)

They seem to me as a beginner a good idea, but how would they affect the presentation of the fly? Am I just better off tying the fly straight to the line?

Any advice would be great thanks.

regards
Kay

kay, i really wouldn't bother. usual knots for tying hooks to nylon/fluoro/co-polymer will suffice. i know they seem like a good idea but i wonder what limitation they put on fly movement? cheers jon.

Thanks for the link to the other thread. I tried looking but couldnt find one similar, so ta.
Im going to try them and see what they are like. For 4 quid I cant go wrong really. If they are rubbish I can always use them in my coarse fishing rigs.
I must say though, this forum is amazing. Ive learned so much in the last few weeks, and saved myself a fortune in the process.
Thank you,
Kay.

Hi,

I bought some of these when I first started. I think if you are fishing lures they are quite useful for quick fly changes and I have used them in competitions for this when I am going through my flybox of lures so less time is spent changing flies. I wouldn't use them for any other flies i.e nymphs, dries as I think they do affect the presentation. Just my opinion, hope this helps.

Nick.
