Default 1st day out

1st day on the river ballinderry in northern ireland. very dark, muddy, no rises, not a pull, nothing. anyone on here fish this wee river and know why its so cloudy and if it usally fishes slow at the beginning of the season?

fished it a few times in the past , hard work early in season ,best early flies ,wet olives,greenwells or goldhead hares ear nymph ,one other tip,dont bother if there is a cold upstream wind.
