Default Avon Springs prices ??

Hi Fellas,

I've checked out their website but I can't seem to find the tariffs
at Avon Springs. Does anyone know what they're charging this
year for their various tickets ??

Cheers,

JC

Hi JC...the prices are, or are very close to;

£45 a day for 4 fish on the lakes; £35 for a 3 fish part day ticket similarly; £65 a day for a split river / lake ticket; book of 10 day tickets on the lakes is at a discount from 10 x £45.

Thanks for that John, much appreciated.
I usually frequent John O' Gaunt's & Holbury Lane Lakes for my stillwater fishing.
It looks like It'll be John O' Gaunt, Avon Springs & Manningford from
now on. Holbury have raised their prices to £30 for 2 fish & £46 for 4 . . .
Way too expensive for their stocking policy in my opinion.

All the best,

JC

I know what you mean, JC. Although Holbury does have plenty of good points. It's well keepered, is in a pretty location, the fishing holds up well in hot summer weather, and the river is challenging to fish. Also for me it's an easy 14 mile drive from my front door.

I do wish they would amend their current stocking policy though, perhaps stocking 60-70% of the current numbers of base weight rainbows (athough their current stockies are very nice fish) and making up the difference with a few bigger 'bows and some browns in springtime. Nigel the manager won't have it, though. I guess the problem is that stocking the way I suggest would make for more interesting fishing for experienced anglers, but it might be a tad tough for beginners and anglers with only modest aspirations...Holbury attracts a good number of both.

You're not wrong in all you say about Holbury John, I live near Lyndhurst so
it's only a short trip for me. Then again John O'Gaunt's is the same distance
and I do find it more picturesque there. If it weren't for the helicopters from
Wallop it would be idyllic........
I've just seen a "new" fishery at Kingsworthy called "Church Paddock" do you
know of it ??

Prices now increased to £48 for a four fish day ticket and £38 for a three fish half day ticket. The prices are on their facebook page but not on their website, for some bizarre reason.
