I've been to Elinor twice this year so far. Firstly from the bank on a really cold day and secondly a couple of weeks ago in my float tube.

On the first occasion the fish were mainly out over the deeper water and a bit of a challenge from the bank, although those who gathered under the pylons at the top of the water seemed to contact fish on a regular basis and fish were visible cruising the surface.

On the second trip it was considerably warmer and there were plenty of fish in the top couple of feet. I had a great time fishing a team of buzzers, again mostly in the top end of the water. Have a look here for more detail ....

Elinor 19th March 2011

I haven't completely made up my mind but I may be there myself, in my float tube, on Saturday.
