Hello i'm new to the forum, and i've just taken up fly fishing again, after a 14year absence, (got lost to work commitments), so i rejoined my local angling club, (though i haven't got out on the loch yet).

I just started off in a few stillwaters months ago, and i've been lucky enough to catch a few decent fish, and also managed to win the fish-off this month, so i qualified for the Troutmasters at Grafham in May.

I am invariably looking at it as a fun day out, and not expecting to clean all the fish out of it but since it's a large reservoir and i've never fished it, wondered if anyone had any tips for the day (shrimp imitations aside) as i've read about the shrimp problem they had/have.

Any advice would be welcome, thanks.
