I'm going to Swansea for a few days in 4 weeks time and am thinking of fishing at either Felindre/Shimano or Garnffrwd Fishery. Has anyone been to either one before and what did you think?

Went to shimano a few weeks ago very hard fishing a lot of people went early because they was struggling.
When we paid for the two fish ticket we was told by the owner that we would not have the time limit as the fishing had been so difficult
4 of us went in total my uncle had three i had 1 and my 2 brothers had none they had no knocks all day we fished from 8 untill about 5.
I think only two others caught.
My uncle had two on the first two casts so we thought we was in for an easy day how wrong we was lol.
It is exspensive compared to other fisheries round here but the fish are bigger.
we paid £20 pound for a 2 fish ticket the fish we caught were the average size of about 4- 4 and a half pounds.
Never been to the other fishery so cant comment on that sorry.

You input is helpful. I'm leaning towards Garnffrwd, but may just try a half day at Shimano as well.

I was told there is also a trout fishery somewhere by three crosses, not sure where exactly though, and couldnt find any info on google.

Garnffrewd is fishing well at the moment mostly on dries so if you want some fun get down there.
Small F flies are best in sizes 16-18 Olive or Black
