hi guys going to give derwent a go tomorrow,
dont do a lot of res fishing so am going to fish the usual suspects.
black fritz,blobs,have been told black and orange do well.
any info appreciated.

Small gold head olive fritz always works very well for me early doors on NWL reservoirs.
Also had success with Bibio, Kate Mclaren and a black and flo-green wet fly (sorry dont know its name) I got when I purchased my fly fishing starter kit a few years ago.
As you are going to Derwent, something that looks like powerbait might also work.
There have been some reports of 10lb+ being caught since the season opened. Hope you have the same luck.

black and lime green is always a good combination early season

hi, i was fishing derwent res last week got three orange was the colour then. i think the most popular lure is the Dawson olive . look on Northumbria web site go fishing loads of info.
