Default Limp wristed

I was fishing today and a complete stranger came up to me, apologised and suggested I should stop cocking my wrist on the back stroke! Well, if ever advice was needed. Suddenly my casting was 100% better. Didnt catch anything but it was all a lot easier.

He took over my rod to show me and his cast were effortless. He even complimented me on my rod - an old Alan Brown Light Nymph - saying it was much superior to his Hardy Rod!!

Have decided to take some casting instruction.

Off topic but late in the afternoon there was a tremendous splash and a roe deer had jumped in the river and was swimming across. Fishing is not just about catching fish!

Usually known as wrist break. Creats many a problem when casting flies. Getting casting lessons is the way to go, otherwise you pick up bad habbits.

Yes this is correct, but in the mean time i don't see any harm practising with one of these on.At least by the time you get a lesson in your sorted out your wrist break
