It is a pity you never found success in fly fishing. I also wish I had some decent C&R near me, I have had enough stockies to last a life time it feels.

however, there's nothing wrong with Coarse Fishing though, I love it as much as Fly Fishing if i'm honest

tight lines and good luck with yer fishing

I have not been at it long and had very limited success but I just love being on the river, fish or no fish. Think I will give it another decade to see how I improve.
Enjoy the fishing which ever way you Like.

That's a pity you did not have more success on the fly. But at least your still fishing, enjoy.

A sad day for yourself when you throw in the towel , cant see why its such a big decision to do so , £20 aint alot ,even coarse fishing thats a days bait now days then killing fish ,well i would look for a C&R water or give yer fish the the neighbors , coarse fishing can be far easier the fly perhaps thats why you packed it in Gaz
