Hi! iv'e got a 9ft 6 7 weight scott A2 and find it a lovely rod but as i mostly use a western 3 find that when i use it i have to slow my cast down a bit, think its possibly more of a medium action rather than a med/fast? but it casts well and handles fish well, really nice rod, in no way am i an expert on rods, this is just my findings, ian
