A quickie really, when does the trout season start on rivers in Galloway? Or has it already started?

15th March is the official start.Unless the Galloway trust have imposed a later start.

You can generally depend on mid-March til end september-is for trout, but river dates vary from area to area in Scotland for Salmon. Check out the various websites for accurate details - (an exiled Scot, so out-of-date with accuracy)
