I'm pretty sure it's the same mechanism as the supreme. Same sort of thing happened to me; I tried inverting the jaws, closing the jaws tight on every half turn of the collar and releasing, cleaning and oiling everything and then reassembling with the jaws the right way up again. It sorted it, and I've not had it happen again so far. Not a guarantee, but maybe worth a try?

Yip, i eventually binned it after trying to fix it for about 2 mnths.
Even had a pal look at it who is a tool maker.
I bought something with better jaws, having said that your the only person that seems to have had the same misfortune, people rate the Dyna King so highly.

If it's the same as the supreme, they do. One way up will allow the cam-lock to click gently into place, the other won't and the lever will just over tighten the jaws. Give it a try and you'll find out I guess. So unusual to get problems with DK's really - so no one knows what to do when it happens
