I've only fished one Manx river, so can't advise on any of the stillwaters, although there are several. Isle of Man Guide - FISHING, Freshwater Fishing

Default might help?

I haven't been there myself but my brother went with his family a couple of years ago when he was very first starting and found the reservoirs there to be superb, even the kids where catching
It sounds as if they are well stocked and you will have a great time

Hi RISER,, we have 6 fantastic ressies over here... Sulby,Injerbreck,Cringle,Ballure you can flyfish and also spin on these reserviors then you've got the Clypse & Kerrowdhoo reserviors these are flyfishing only.

All ressies are stocked weekly but sulby & injerbreck the biggest waters are stocked every other week with a double amount.

Sulby Injerbreck and cringle haven't been stocked yet this season due to the high PH water levels but still have plenty of over wintered fish in them i had 5 at injerbreck last friday the best 4.5lb.

Licenses are £15 a day and a week is £60 with a 4 fish daily limit hope this helps...

The Clypse and Kerrowdhoo are the best reservoirs atm for catching fish, both stocked to the brim and the fish can be caught on all lines. Best methods at the moment are buzzers on floating lines, black and olive lures on floating and intermediate lines fished fast - the fish are suprisingly high in the water even on cold days. If the fish are deep a di5 or di7 with a booby of any colour will do well - just cast it out, count to 4 and then strip the fly back. Theres no need to fish flies static.

I did an 8 page guide for Trout Fisherman a couple of years ago on the Isle of Man, everything you need to know covered in there - I will try and send you a copy.

I will pm you now with my contact details should you need any help when you get here.

Sam
