Default I've only gone & done it.

Booked myself a half day casting lesson with Dave Henderson from Craven Casting at Raygill Lakes.

Looking forward to finally being able to get some lessons, hopefully my line will shoot further than the rod tip now

It should allow you to cast further, with less effort and more accurately - £75 well spent!

I've met David once a cpl of yrs ago when out fishing. He's a very nice chap and was kind enough to show a beginner like me how to distance-roll cast a line out due to the high winds we had on the day on our local stillwater. He kindly gave me a couple of files and also knows a secret or two how to catch fish , so it should be money well spent.

Based on what you've just told me I've decided to book him for the whole day now
