Default Leader twisting

Hi everyone

I've got a problem with leader and tippet line-twist, particularly when fishing small and winged dry flys. I'm using Stroft GTM in 0.10 dia (3.1lb) through to 0.16 dia (6.7lb). The heavier diameter reduces the twist somewhat, but goes against the presentation I'm trying to achieve with small flies.

I love the Stroft, but I'm starting to think that the things I like about it are actually the things that are hindering me (it's very supple, limp and floats extremely well). Has anyone any tips to prevent line twist, or is it time to look to another line brand for my dry fly fishing? If so, have you any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

Try parachute flies , they hardly twist the tippet or simple hackle only dries. Wings, unless perfectly matched and aligned, will twist even relatively heavy tippet. Reducing false casting helps as well.

The thing with stroft is match the diameter to the size of fly not the BS ,the 3lb stuff is fine for size 18/20 .
presentation with strength .
Loads of people hate the stuff ,I am well pleased with it and use it for all my river trouting !
