Default Colliford lake

Colliford is open from Tuesday 15th, and from all accounts its been stocked up with some browns in the 10" region with the good head of trout in there could be some sport to be had.
Anyone fancy a few hours on Tuesday.

Would love to but am fishing on the Taw open day.
Pete Tyjas and the Guys at the Fox & Hounds Hotel are offering FREE fishing on open day to showcase the lovely beats they have on the river Taw.
If you don't go to Colliford and want to fish the river we are all meeting at 9pm at the hotel.
Pm me if you are coming so i can let Peter know the numbers.

I would have been up for that but have to take the g/son to school and collect him so cant really make it
That's a great bit of PR on their behalf and I hope you all have a great day.
Now that's just took the edge off the excitement of opening day at colliford, but I expect I will survive.
Tight lines
Mike

I love Colliford so if you plan on going another time let me know.
The way you can sight fish for the Browns in shallow water is great fun.
I look forward to your report.

Hi All..

Beautiful place Colliford, only been fortunate enough to fish it once last year and thought it a stunning, wild and peaceful place to fish, got smashed off by a good fish at last light so definitely one day a return is needed if I ever return from my troutless exile.I was however surprised to find a half eaten carps head along the shoreline, upon chatting to a local he said there are quite a few Carp in there....

Hi Marazion,

I'd be there with you tomorrow if the rivers were out. I was there 4 years ago on opening day, mist all over the lake and it fished its whatsits off.

Hope you have a great day tomorrow.

Steveow, I too have seen some real big fish moving there late on. I always leave feeling like have unfinished business there no matter how good a day it has been. Think that is what makes me keep coming back for more...Love the place!
