Default Rhondda fish kill

Around 26,000 fish and fry have been killed at a club hatchery on the upper Rhondda at Blaenrhondda as a result of what's believed to be a malicious act. LINK

I cannot believe some-one would do something like that. completely disgusting. I sincerely hope whoever poisoned them get caught and jailed for a long long time.

That is a sad situation, a terrible sight, what a shameful act of vandalism! My sympathy ls with the fishing club! Luckily the contamination didn't reach the Rondda Fawr. Hope the fishing club will be able to survive; and move forward from this tragedy.

utterly sickening, if this was indeed a malicious act then I hope they catch the lowlife that did it; it beggars belief that people can carry out such acts of stupidity and destruction

The Environment Agency said it was also carrying out an investigation, but confirmed that the Rhondda Fawr river has not been affected by the incident.

"We have taken water samples at the fish farm and we await the results," said a spokesperson

If as suggested is a malicious act then it beggars belief, and i hope the culprits are brought to book, is the farm insured for malicious acts like this?
Am a bit puzzled about the river not being affected though?
Does the hatchery outlet not flow into river after going through settlement tank?
If was a poison caused deaths, traces would most certainly be in river.
