Default Special knots for boobys???

Hi guys, looking to fish farmoor in a couple of weeks time so will probably use a booby form time to time. I have just read in trout fisherman (jan - feb edition) a special knotm that is supposed to allow the booby more movement on the retrieve?
Does anyone use these?
I am a little confused as tying the knot it doesn't appear to move anymore? I am aware of knots used for plugs and lures but they don't pull tight to the eye as this one does? hope that makes sense would appreciate your thoughts
p.s anyone fished farmoor recently

If you use something like the Rappala knot.which stays as a loop. then fine .but possibly they are using a Grinner/uni.knot but not tightening it down on the hook eye.But pulling it tight on the standing part of the rig This will stay loose until you get a take. then tighten down on the eye.

Rapala knots are good for allowing more movement but I don't bother with any fancy knots for trout fishing. Stick with the tried and tested.

Default what i was thinking

Thanks for your replies. I am always interested in looking at new methods, things that can improve the sport we love. However when i comes to knots in all the years of fishing all the various disciplines i have found the blood knot hard to beat. I can't think of any occassion other than when a nipper and i didn't tie it correctly where it has let me down

I Like to use a grinner/uni knot when Salmon fishing so that I can leave it a little Loose,to allow the fly to have more movement,It also lets me know if the missed take I had was to the point fly or the dropper,as the one that had the take will be tightened up.
It is also a very reliable knot.

Have fished Farmoor recently, it's stuffed wit hfish at the moment.

Two MAJOR tips.

1 - Don't waste your time with fancy knots....it's not needed.

2 - GET A BOAT!!!!! - the fish are well out from the bank

Default thanks

Already got the boat booked, no fancy knots hopefully just plenty of silver rockets

fished it towards the end of last season on a howling gale with my brother and still had some amazing sport. Pound probably the hardest fighting fish i have ever caught
