I know times are tight for fisheries but they're tight for the rest of us as well and £6 an hour is extortionate, in my opinion.
I pay between £8-10 for a four-hour session, depending on where I go. Any more than that and I'd have to think about going less often - maybe twice a month instead of four times.

A couple of fisheries near me are charging £13 for 5/6 hour C&R ticket. Charges have gone up this year but so have so many overheads and expenses.

personally i think £6 per hour is decent value if the stock is a good size/condition, the water's clear and fresh and the surroundings are good. What else can you get for £6 per hour.? Rugby at Twickenham's £1 per minute. strolling round Madame Tussauds is more than £6. At this fishery your £6 is covering losses to fish, poaching, maintenance, staff salaries, rent, cost of fish etc and still the poor owner has to make a buck. How can we begrudge paying £40 or a little more for a day on a privately owned and managed property. personally i thank my lucky stars the cost is as it is when i shell out £750 for a day's shooting. Us fishers don't know how lucky we are!

Its obvious that your better off than most off us, to some folk a days fishing there would be costing them a days wages.

I think that shows the difference between North and South
£750 for a days shooting....I take it that includes lunch
George at Glencorse used to charge us £15 a day C/R inc boat there again mybe thats why he has packed it in!!! There is a happy medium I would happily pay £30 plus say a tenner for the boat for a full day.8-5pm.If It was a decent place.( for me and the Boy)
