Default Boring I know but good days fishing in the South East?

Hello Everyone

It has been a few years and sweet Jasus have these forums changed.
It took me ten minutes just to scroll down through all of the sections

Is Jim or Cothi or Paul Boote still around ??

Any hoo I haven't been fishing in about two years!
Child number three, a new job and a new house have meant that I really have had no time to myself.
It is my Birthday next Monday so I have decided to take the day off and go fishing for the day.
Not the morning, not the afternoon, but for the day.
The closest fishery to me is Albury but I always felt like I was getting cheap thrills going there. Stick on a blue flash damsel and bag up within an hour.
The only other stillwater I have been to is one about ten minutes from the A3 near Haslemere. They allow c&r here so the fish are more wiley and it is a lot nicer but I fancy something a bit different.
Can anyone recommend a days fishing within an hour or two of Guildford?
It will take me a while to get back into things I am sure but I have already dusted off my flybox, taken my brand new, never fished 8ft 4wt out of its tube and unearthed my lucky fishing hat.

Too early for wild broonies (I think) but open to any other suggestions.

Thanks

Dom.

The Haslemere fishery is obviously Frensham.
There is Moorhen, alas no c/r anymore or Meon Springs which do allow c/r,both about an hour from you i guess.Hazelcopse is c/r as well but small and not 'pretty',however its cheap at £20 1 fish then c/r and plenty of fish to go at again quite reasonably close to Guildford, infact i can do Hazelcopse in an hour from here, traffic permitting.Further afield there is Woodington down at Romsey which allow c/r.

I was talking about Frensham, he must have guessed from my great directions. Forgot the name last night. As said I do prefer this to Albury, but fancy something a bit different.
Thanks

Get yourself to Lechlade. difficult fishing, but the rewards now are great. lots of browns well into double figures, and i do mean lots.
