Default Cumbria Fishing

Hi, A moved down to Keswick last year from Ayr. Been fishing about down here, but still getting up to Scotland. A was wondering if there was any one on here from keswick or cumbria that can tell me the best club to join for the rivers this year? av seen salmon in the derwent and seen videos of people catching artic char in the lakes and had loads of brownies out them but the rivers look brilliant

Where you are in the county suggests that Penrith AA might be worth a look. They may have exchange permits with other clubs, too.

Has to be the Eden valley Derek, outstanding scenery and fantastic fishing. See Mrtrout and also look in the river reports on this forum for the River Eden and that will give you some idea. I live 50 feet from it and can see the trout rising from my bedroom window but just can't reach on a cast from there, keep catching the chimney pot.

Yes he does, and as his location says, "Too close to the Eden"
