I have a Daiwa wilderness xt 9' #6 which i broke on Saturday while fishing at Haddo trout fishery. The rod was broken about 3 inches from the top.
I phoned Daiwa on Monday and told them the situation. I told them it was a clean break but it was very possible that i had knocked it with a goldhead. I just didnt know. I would be passing by the factory on Tuesday and could come in to get the rod tested. The woman on the phone said it would be £44.ish for a new top section.

Off i go into the factory in Wishaw. I handed over the rod and 30seconds later, out comes the very friendly customer service girl with a brand new FREE GRATIS top section for Paul.

The result is a very happy wee angler who is off fishing tomorrow! many thanks Daiwa. Excellent customer service!!
