I have great difficulty using a full Di7 as it always wraps or knots while casting I find so I use either home made or 40+ manufactured lines in this density.

No problems with casting them.

Is cos of very thin diameter and density of line. When we strip line back we dont really think about where loops are going!
strip line drop in pile etc etc. then on forward cast line is all over itself hence tangles/knots. Which are a b u g g e r to get out.
If boat fishing, try to strip line and throw out back of boat! sounds daft. but if on drift it works! Aint such a good idea if anchored.
if on bank throw line as far as possible onto water surface in front or side, just to try to reduce the overlapping coils, which cause knots on forward cast.
