Hi mitchwell, the rod you mentioned in the premium rods at the time was the hls colorado 9ft 5wt. the rockmountain series were a bit cheaper in the finnish and cost, it is a nice rod to use for both wet or dry fly. i think £50 is a good price for it, cheers B.
warrenty is for original owner.

Was bottom end of orvis offering, soft action, ideal for roll casting and wide loops.
Equivalent sold for just over £100 in this country.
Orvis guarantees are second to none, think this rod had same warranty as most, but not sure how you stand second hand.
If rod is suitable to your fishing methods/style/situation is a fair price.

Didn't like the rod myself, too soft in action for me. I suppose itd make a decent small river rod, but i don't like the action

Second hand no problem re the warranty. so long as the rod's not a 'second' then the warranty will be honoured. I took a rod that i'd been given to them (a silver label that i broke in the car door) and they replaced it, no questions asked, in a day or two with a Western2 (the silver label was out of production)

Incidentally, i loved the SIlver label. lovely rod. looking for a cheap 10 footer....
