Hi Terry
WADAA control Ghyl Head and their website is updated throughout the warmer months with reports. Fantastic spot which responds to all common methods (lures, buzzers dries etc) Fantastic fishing on dries in the summer evenings - usually black gnats etc.
The first stocking for the year is in there, I know this as I had 15 on Saturday on black .... black wooly ******, black buzzers and black gnats.

2 fish limit if you want or sport tickets available. The website lists the spots where to get a ticket.
WADAA's a great club with I'd guessimate 70% of the the best water stillwater trout fishing waters in the Lakes under their control.

They have some fantastic corase fishing too ...... the members only Cleabarrow water is great for carp on the fly... had them to 18lb last year.

Hi Terry, i,ve fished it a few times but much prefer High Newton, obviously not on a windy day. Good surface action in the summer to dries.
Let us know how you get on please because every year i book a four day fishing trip up there and tend to fish High Newton with an odd time at gyhl head. cheers ck.
