Default Angling Club Insurance

Hi, wondered if anyone had any knowledge or experience about what type(s) of insurance a fishing club should consider tasking out. We are a small club 30+ members who lease a few miles of trout fishing. No matches or organised events; other than work parties.
The question of whether we carry adequate insurance (if any?) came up at our recent AGM. Since then I've had so many conflicting opinions and advice I'm quite confused as to what is the best option to pursue.
So if anyone can shed some light on this issue I'd be very grateful.
Thanks
Nigel

You should be able to get insurance through most of the major organisations. Try the Angling Trust, Salmon & Trout Assoc, Game Conservancy for starters. You'll need pretty hefty third party cover at the very least.

Default Club Insurance

I run a club of 40 members and I'm responsible for the insurance cover, The Club insurance is organised through brokers Jelf, Clarke Roxborough, Malvern Worcs. and it's a Hiscox Insurance Policy specially for angling clubs. It's too detailed to go into here but if you want to send me a PM with your phone number I will relay the type of cover we have. The policy has been renewed over 12 years and there hasn't been a large increase in the premium.
