Default EA rod licence money

I'm not the best at ferreting out information on the internet, so could anybody give me a link to how EA rod licence money is spent? And any interesting links re value for money.

I think that this has come up before and the answer may be contained within an older post.
What I can say for definite is that the EA seem to be putting their money where their mouth is in my part of the world.
Having been identified as a failing river the EA have initiated several habitat improvement schemes on the river Evenlode. I'd recommend anyone who lives in the area to have a look at the several tonnes of gravel that has been put in immediately downstream of Ascott bridge, it's a heartwarming site. There is gravel going into the river in a further 3 locations downstream plus creation of 3 backwaters and other features.

I lost it a bit with a particular poster a while ago and posted a few bits and bobs about funding... http://www.flyforums.co.uk/viewpoint...tml#post887427 that covers gross budget issues.

You're right the EA could be far more transparent with their stuff but it is all there if you know where to look and are prepared to read various documents rather than see it up front on a web page. Of course we don't all know where to look so the easiest thing to do nowadays is usually to email them and ask. They have to answer you under FOI legislation although they may charge a sum if digging out an answer will take a lot of man hours. I'd hope that the dept has a budget and time breakdown of spend to hand though.
