There was a list published somehwre lately of the top fishign blogs (think there was a thread on here about it) Loopy's blog is a good read! Add the dryflyexpert to that as well, very informative if you like river dry fly fishing!

Most bloggers also follow other blogs. If you look at the right hand panel on any of the blogs you read you should find a list. You will be amazed where they take you. One of my favourite blogs is all about fabrics and yarns from la Belle Epoc, another takes me to the secret lives of objects and informs me about the restoration and conservation of items at Temple Newsham House near Leeds, whilst another gets me following the incredible fishing enjoyed by an angler and blogger in the centre of Manchester!

River keeper's and ghillies' blogs are right up there too, although their postings can be seasonal and so intermittent.

One of the best fishing blogs ever was Miles Nolte's blog The Alaska Chronicles. I don't believe it's available anymore because like many popular blogs, he turned it into a book. Which is a pretty good read, BTW, but having read the blog first I will say that the book smoothed off some of the rough edges of the blog and that changed some of the better postings.

One of the originals - but still one of the best and an inspiration to hundreds of other blogs which followed North Country Angler worth reading from start to finish.

It's very good, and there are a few pictures of some of the more colourful characters on the forum
