I've ordered from them several times over the last year or so. About half my orders have contained a mistake, but I keep going back (a) because the customer service manager has been really good at sorting it out (b) they have a conveniently large stock (c) they have stuff that I can't get elsewhere.

Still - would be nice if their initial service was as good as, say, Lakeland or the forum's retailers, who I try first.

I refuse to buy anything from them after a bad experience a few months ago. Ian Woods, Mullarkeys and Wharfedale Angling Classics cover everything I need with good service and price so no need for me to use GAC at all.

this has been done to death, general consensus for a bit was that they had improved, and i hope they have, but an improvement would not have been hard. After so many lies about stock and time spent waiting on stuff ( too many horror storys), neither myself or any of the boys i fish with will touch them wi a bargepole. To us it just dont make sense takin a gamble when you can get what you want on the forum from decent honest sellers, GAC has been off our radar for a few years now, your just asking for hassle and its pointless, buy your gear here is my advice.
Maybe they have got better, but why risk it?
Scotty

Understood reading reports on here over the last few months that things were improving. There was a skin I fancied that Cookshill could not supply because of demand so I took the plunge and called them. Yep they had one in stock so I enquired about delivery and they mentioned it would be despatched in five days time. The credit card was dusted off andthe numbers accepted. Six days later the door bell rings and it's me skin from GAC.
Now I don't know why it took so long to send but the guy on the end of the phone was as good as his word.
Can't say fairer than that.
