Cool Beaverdyke Yorkshire

Time to renew subs to Yorkshire Anglers to fish Beaverdyke/John O'Gaunts. Any opinions on fishing quality, blue green algae, value for money etc to help me make my mind up whether to renew.

If you're thinking of renewing you presumably have fished it for a season at least - so what do you think of the quality of the fishing?

Not much to be done about the algae - I believe it is down to run off of nitrogen fertilisers from the surrounding fields. You can usually avoid it somehow, as it tends to be found at one end or side or the other, depending on wind direction.

As for value for money, if you divide the annual sub by a reasonable number of days fishing it compares very well with typical stocked stillwater dayticket prices, and is a lovely spot to boot.

Hope you renew!

No one can predict what will happen with the algae this year but I think it's safe to say memebrship is very good value for money! Try finding access to 2 reservoirs and a stretch of the Wharfe elsewhere for that price!

I'm a longtime member and often post about my time spent on Yorkshire Anglers water on my blog

Cheers
