what age do u have 2 b 2 own a lake boat in ireland

Didn't know there was an age for owning a boat.
Saying that the loughs can be very dangerous places and not some play ground, so some good tuition in water craft is needed, I would think you would need to be at least 14 to be able to manage the boats.

You can own a boat at any age but you must take extreme care when using a boat as water can be very dangerous and for those with little or no experience it is even more dangerous!!

I would encourage you to seek guidance and seek company from a mature and preferably experienced adult and always wear a lifejacket!
