Default Whats the best batterie?

I have just bought a second hand electric motor for loch fishing, could anybody give me advice on which batterie to buy and where im likely to get it. Thanks.

Go to lucas site, or ebay, there are good deals for 110Ah batteries

You need to buy a Deep charge Leisure Battery.And a Good charger.
If you use the search function you will find lots of threads with great advice.The Famous Grouse had a very authorative Post on the subject.
If you were going to use it on the lake then you will need an 110amp.but for smaller waters a 80ah will do.

I got a new 88ah battery on ebay for £53 including delivery last year which does me fine fishing on my own on small/medium sized waters but for bigger venues and if you're fishing with two in a boat you might need something bigger as mentioned above.

Hello 3lbGrayling just out of curiosity do you mean Menteith? coz I would be using it there. I fish the wed night league and numerous day sessions. If you fish there I prob met you. thanks again for the advise.

In this case .. 'more is better.' The cost difference between an 80 vs a 110 is minimal. Spend the money now, or spend it later. Only 'down side' may be is the larger battery will be quite some heavier (more plates).

I am talking about Menteith,but it looks like Electrics may not be allowed on Wed Boat League.

Yes I now know who Im talking to Im Simon I was lucky enough to win the league last year. I see the rules will be changing for the lake but if we are all good enough we will still catch. Anybody want an electric motor???
