hi anyone got a link to some of paul youngs first hooked on fishing series,the older programmes as the telly is pants.

I watch him the other night & he didn't catch a fish.


If that Poirot chap had given Paul a fishing rod he'd have caught the bad guy as well as a brace of trout

sorry, dont mean to hijack your thread but while we are on the subject of fishing programmes, i remember a programme where two friends went out fishing togather think it was set recorded in the 80's. Brings back memories, anyone remember the name of the programme?

on discovery every morning just now ,along with hywell morgan ,dont know what serie,s ?
dont like when he goes after bonefish .etc.

I've always been a big fan of the Paul Young programmes especially the early one's. Good shout.

What I don't get re. the early morning discovery programmes is " on the fly with John Bailey ". He never fly fishes in the prog's or at least not in the one's I've seen. In the last one he was chasing native Carp in a Welsh tarn with bait and a spinning rod.

I liked the " on the fly with Ian Botham " programmes and the way he always had a lovely presentation box of flies for his host.

he was having a masterclass on the usk today fly fishing for trout,it was pants & like you say he never fly fishes it's always maggot drooning dross.
