Evening all...

Desperate to get out, so on Saturday going to try get 3-4 hours fishing.

Had a look about and Swanswater, Wellsfield seem to be open, never been to keen on them due to a lack of catch and release and you can have your limit very quickly!

Anyone been anywhere in East/Central Scotland, in the last few weeks for a cast, or aware of anywhere else open?

was up at allandale the other week, i think it,s ice free now. had a good couple of hours. plenty fish plenty offers. can,t wait till linlithgow opens.

R.e Linlithgow, me too mate!!! There are going to be a lot of very very decent fish caught, certainly if last year is to go by!

I haven't fished there before, i shall investigate online!!

Get yourself along to Easter Balado, fishes even in a cold northerly, they were taking dries when i was there last Wednesday. Apps does well and always a cup of tea on hand if it gets too cold.

They do catch and release? How did you get on??

They do a 4 or 8 hr catch and release ticket, Due to my own ineptitude i did'nt do very well. But the 4 other guys all had a few fish with one in particular getting into double figures (number of fish caught) he had them all on apps and suspender buzzers. The water is very clear visibility down to about 6ft and you can see plenty of fish moving about with some periods of surface activity.
