Just the soles or suggestions for wading boots with rubber soles to go with stocking-foot waders?

If the latter, I have a pair of these and like them:

mako wading boots - Google Product Search

They do have small tungsten studs in too which some people don't like, but the rubber sole grip and general build quality/design are good.

I took mine to the cobbler's on Haddon Road in Bakewell. He made a great job of them, putting on a commando style sole and heel. So far so good...

(But my wading is not on green algal slime...)

Hi, Cobblers is the best answer as Richardw says. No messing about yourself, or worries if you missed somewhere with glue. Let the Pro's do it.

Best Regards

Stuart

And that right there is the key.

BE CAREFUL until you get used to the rubber soles and I'd strongly recommend you add studs right off the bat. May as well do it before your first fall rather than after, because if you wade rivers with boulders or bedrock, you'll be wanting them.

Rubber wading soles don't offer the grip of felt. How much of a difference that makes to you will depend on where you wade, but be aware and be careful.

You need a few studs on rubber just to get out of river on most banks! same applies to felt.
