Default Anyone recommend a fishery near Falkirk

Hi Folks

Newbie here, been lurking for a wee while soaking up all the info on this site and must see the advice is excellent.

Anyway, I have only been fly fishing for about 6 months and take every opportunity I can to get out. I am going to be visiting Falkirk this weekend and the misses has given me a few hours off, so i am looking to visit a local fishery.

Can anyone recommend one which is open at this time of year please. Has to be bank fishing, as never fished from a boat and only looking to fish for 4 hours.

Thanks
Jim

Hi Jim,

I'm in the area visiting my son. I fished this place yesterday for the first time. http://www.allandaletarn.com Staff were friendly, it was reasonably busy. Took three in four hours, lovely bows. Worth a try.

I've also heard that Selmuir near Livingston is very good.

Jim,
Forgot to put the link in the post, sorted now. Allandale Tarn, near West Calder. I called Bowden Springs, but no answer.
