Bye the bye what flies do well on Barnsfold?

With a bit of luck, the back end of winter will continue to be mild and by mid March, the first of Barnsfold's legendary buzzer hatches will be underway. You may have to wait till late afternoon before the fish come right up top after emergers, but it will be worth it. The midge will be small and black - your imitations want to be #14,16 - and you'll likely need to pay close attention to the 'critical inch' as the feeding zone.
Earlier in the day, a long leader and buzzer cast will produce, along with an inter/di3 approach with mixed minis and DBs.
Don't neglect the windward bank. Tough going it might be, but you may well do better than the hoards of anglers looing for the comfort of the wind off their backs.
You should have a good day. I wish I could join you all.
