Default Sportfish Grayling Society Discount?

I recently bought a new C&F box - my "Buzzboz" from Sportfish to house my new works of art and it arrived as always within a day of ordering.
On the invoice it included a 10% Grayling Society Discount, of which I am a member, however I did not ask for it, ever supply my membership number, nor knew that membership gave rise to those benefits.
Do Sportfish automatically give discounts to various Society members?

This is what I am thinking. Sportfish may have a releationship with the Society and access to the Society's member list and automatically recognises this link between members in each database, and gives discounts when purchases are made.
Years ago the S&TA membership gave Sportfish members a 5% discount with another 5% to the Salmon Fund, but you had to ask for it and supply your membership card at purchase.
In this situation it hs resulted in a benefit for me but goes to show the possibility of sharing and disclosure of client details amongst organisations where no such permission was given to share it.

hello i think your right, with the s a d c sportfish have a page in the members permit book so think you have to say you are a member. it does seem to look that way your society might be giving this info to them, maybe other forum members will reply and give their views
