Seems like this winter is a long one already and plenty more to come I guess.
Oh well, six or seven weeks will make a big difference.

Something to be said for cold winter days on stillwaters though.
Less crowded
Some big ones come out to play
You usually get a period in the day when you can catch on emergers and buzzers
You lose so many flies inching along the bottom, you get to practice your fly tying skills
you really appreciate getting home and warming up

Looks like a nice little river that fish4all, bring on the summer.

I've cleaned my rod and line, made a few more flies just waiting for a little longer days to get going again

For me late Spring is the time to be on the water.
