Default Newbee fly info

For the guys and girls that are relatively new to the sport of fly fishing and even to some of the longer participants.
If on a water and your not catching but someone is, Its OK to ask what fly they are using but that's not the full story and info you need.
It happened to me today! I caught my 3 fish on 3 differant flies and each time I was asked what I caught on or same fly mate!!! But not once did they ask about the method, which today was the most important thing.
Today's method was floating line unweighted flies fished at around 6/8 feet static, and that last bit was crucial as they just were not having it moved at all.
SO when you seek advice!!! go for the full story not just the headlines.
