Post Fishing Stocks

After the recent success of the FFF outing to Kilnsley organized by Hutch 6 I wondered if some of the members local to Stocks fancied meeting up for a day, or half day, bank fishing.
Stocks opens on the 26 February and is besieged by hundreds of anglers who fish side by side. When the initial rush has gone it should be quite pleasant and well stocked.
Does anyone fancy meeting up? Alternative dates suggested:-
6 March, 13 March, 20 March, all sundays.

In the W Yorks Thread I'd suggested Barnsfold for a Lancs based meet:-

- Big enough to hold a large group
- Small enough to walk all way round and "mix" during the day with a cabin (and woodburner!) to retire to/meet up for lunch.
- Good stock of hard fighting fish that aren't too easy to catch but put up a good account when you do.
Have spoken to Frank and AFAIK he's ok to hold it there.

Mind you I also enjoy Stocks and I'm looking forward to it opening but for a social meet it's so big you could easily see no-one all day unless we invaded Ben's Beach en mass or hung around the bay.

Perhaps so as not to limit things we look at doing both!

Default Fishing Stocks

Giving the members an alternative is fine Dave. Lets float the idea and see what they think about the venues suggested. They can choose one, or both, if we have two outings

I'd be up for one or both, work permitting.

Indeed - the more the merrier, more fishing is always better than less

Great idea. Count me in, if that's ok.

Either/or for me although I think that noeyedeer has a good point about Barnsfold being the better size to allow some socializing.
