Hi Jack, would be helpful to know where you are based as the chances are there is a fly tying club or guild near you.

Jack

see if you can join Hanningfield Fly fishers Association as they often have Fly Tying Evenings and you get the chance to meet some very good fly fisherman too

I live in Benfleet and would be happy to show you the little I know which includes dubbing but tying different sorts of fancy wings is not something I know much about.

GRHE's, Diawl Bachs, Buzzers, lures etc I can show you but funky dries etc and I would be following a book or SBS on here.

Let me know if I can be of help.

regards

Ben

Hello well you see fly tying classes are no good for me as I need one to one as just can not hear in groups (what I got for golfing), dubbing yes very useful and just simple wings would be ok and just pass on what you know would be ample for me really great that would be, what I have is loadsa materials and what I could do with is someone to pop to me and have a look at my materials and tell me what they are and what they are for, then I can label them and this would really help cos sometimes a book says take ????? and I donno what the ????? is so yes this would help a great deal. I am near Burnham On Crouch, if you have an hour to spare one day to call over to me would be great cos this is what's holding me up not knowing what all this gear is and what it is for . . .

Ok, will see about popping in to visit you albeit I also have a huge shed at the bottom of the garden which is a nice 'boy's den' and the bar fridge is 20m away on the deck and full of beers

So a visit here is worthwhile

Anyway, you and I will be in good company as I am stone deaf in the left ear so we can shout at each other all day long in the shed and no one will complain

I am very busy over the next month or so as I am away on business trips

Perhaps mid to late February?

Regards

Ben
