Default Rod Holders for boat fishing

Have read the posts from last year discussing rod holders and was wondering if anyone has a good method of manufacturing a solution. I have seen a few guys with what looked like slotted pipes attached to their tackle boxes but was not close enough to see if this was correct or how they were fixed to the boxes. Liked this idea of having something permanently attached to my box.

Would appreciate anyones help in offering a simple solution as I had a close call last year with my rod lying along the boat seat.

Cheers

Jim

Nice Steven, you can also use about 10'' of 1-1.5''polypipe with a slot cut in the front to let the reelseat fit in.fitted to a clamp or a block of wood with a couple of lock bolts to fit your seatbox.

The home made versions such as Steve's always draw my admiration for their ingenuity and patience.

If like me you can't be @rsed, Steve Parton does a good one, at a cost though.

Can't see it on his webby but give him a call...........

I have 2 of these ,well made and worth the money . One detail to take into consideration , though .Check that the size of the fighting butt on your rod is compatible .

Second vote on Steve Partons.

You may also be lucky and find something on eBay or make your own with some PVC pipe.
